The Highliner Pub Blog!

It’s December 24th, Christmas Eve, and all is well.  The Highliner will close early tonight so my servers can spend the evening with friends and family.  Christmas Day will be the same, the servers home with their friends.  I’ll be in and out of the Pub most of the day getting caught up on a horrid backlog of work.  I want to thank everyone that has given me their encouragement to keep plodding along.

If you are in town this weekend, plan to come out and hear The Neil Rush band.  Classic rock by musicians who were there when it happened.  It’s Friday night the 28th and Friday is always the Prime Rib special.  Hope to see you there.

After a long wait and several delays, the second pool table is in place.   A juke Box has been installed with over 1000 selections. Two counter top video games AND, of course, Ms PacMan is up and running.  What’s left?  Well, two webcams with sound are going in the Pub.  Should be up and working in a couple weeks.  We will stream video of all the bands and entertainment.  Should be interesting. 

The Pub will be closed Christmas day (”to rest, perchance to sleep…”) and reopen on the 26th at 06:00 am for breakfast.  Looks like New Yeaqr’s Day will have limited hours, 11:00 am until 7:00 pm.  No one thinks they willo be in an shape to get up any earlier.  The Big Screen TV will be up for all of the games and Budweiser will be $2.00 a pint as long as there is a football game on the TV.
